Power Modules are semiconductor units with high power capacity. Power Module packages have good power dissipation properties and are usually large and heavy compared to other semiconductor components. A Power Module might include a MOSFET, IGBT, BJT, Thyristor, GTO, JFET, Diode or a combination of them (IPM) inside. Power Modules are critical components of many industrial items such as AC Inverters Drives, DC Drives, Forklifts, Welding equipment, HVDC Power Transmission, Induction Furnaces and etc.
